What’s new on the 2026 Cadillac LYRIQ?

The 2026 LYRIQ continues with the proven platform from 2025. Key features that return include the expansive curved display technology, hands-free highway driving assistance, and the 102 kWh battery pack delivering range suitable for Manitoba driving conditions. This established configuration continues to serve customers seeking reliable electric transportation.

Technology

The 33-inch display runs Cadillac’s infotainment software with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability. Navigation and vehicle configuration share the same screen real estate. An available 19-speaker AKG Studio sound system provides upgraded audio reproduction. Super Cruise allows hands-free operation on mapped divided highways across Canada, including Trans-Canada Highway sections through Manitoba. The system uses GPS data and camera monitoring to maintain lane centring and speed control. A head-up display projects speed readings and navigation prompts onto the windshield. Standard safety equipment includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane keeping assist with steering correction, blind spot monitoring paired with rear cross traffic alert, and a surround-view camera displaying all vehicle sides simultaneously. Adaptive cruise control modulates following distance automatically. Parking assist can complete parallel and perpendicular parking with reduced driver intervention. A smartphone application enables remote functions including climate preconditioning and charge status monitoring. Over-the-air software updates occur without dealership visits.

Exterior

A closed front fascia defines the LYRIQ’s appearance, featuring vertical LED lighting elements that create a recognizable nighttime signature. The absence of a traditional grille reflects the electric architecture underneath. Body panels flow from the front corners along a descending roofline toward a compact rear section. Ground clearance provides SUV stance while supporting aerodynamic targets. Depending on trim selection, wheel sizes range from 20 inches to 22 inches. The driver-side front fender houses the charge port for connection to home charging equipment or public stations across Winnipeg. Rear lighting mirrors the front’s vertical arrangement, completing the design language.

Interior

A 33-inch diagonal LED screen spans the dashboard width, providing both driver instrumentation and infotainment functions on one continuous surface. Leather upholstery covers seating positions, with front seats offering heating, ventilation, and massage capabilities for comfort during Manitoba’s temperature swings. A fixed panoramic glass roof panel extends overhead without opening functionality. Second-row occupants control their own climate settings independently. Cargo space measures 793 litres behind the second row, expanding when rear seats fold forward. Open-pore wood accents appear on door panels and instrument panel surfaces. Ambient lighting provides 64 colour options for interior illumination customization.

Powertrain

Rear-wheel drive models use a single electric motor delivering 340 hp. All-wheel drive configurations add a front motor, raising total system output to 500 hp. The battery pack contains 102 kWh of usable energy. Rear-wheel drive variants achieve an estimated 530 kilometres of range per charge, while all-wheel drive models reach approximately 483 kilometres. DC fast charging accepts up to 190 kW, adding roughly 122 kilometres of range in a 10-minute charging session under favourable conditions. Level 2 charging through a 240-volt home connection requires about 10 hours to fully replenish a depleted battery.
